The Art Of Collaboration



Collaboration is the act of working together with one or more people in order to achieve something. Collaboration, if done properly, results in multiple individuals coming together with distinct skill sets, viewpoints and ideas to build on one other and to ultimately come out with a notably improved outcome than what might have been the outcome of any one individual independently. 
With the advent of the digital age and social networks, collaboration has reached all new heights. Individuals from all around the world are able to communicate and share ideas via the internet,so collaboration has reached all new heights.A great example of this would be wikipedia,an online  encyclopedia, that people from all around the world contribute their knowledge to.

Content Marketing: marketing made personal

What is content marketing?  

Content marketing is simply a marketing scheme which involves using useful, informative or entertaining content to either draw interest from a target audience. This is not a typical way of marketing but an innovative and effective marketing process through the use of helpful content.  


This form of marketing is important to organizations and companies because most individuals are weary of traditional marketing techniques. Personally, I am oblivious to Facebook advertisements, commercials( I watch most of my favorite shows via Netflix), and direct mailings. I simply toss them. So in order to engage the audience of the 21st century, many organizations have embraced the usage of social media to engage their target audiences.

If you're really close to me you would know my favorite brand is Hurley( I have their Logo tattooed on my wrist). Hurley is a surfwear company founded in 1998, the brand does not just sell a product ,but they a promote a lifestyleexpressing one's self through art ,music, and sport. And above love of the ocean. I believe they have one of the most phenomenal content marketing teams in the world. I intend to be apart of this team when I graduate from Campbellsville! They engage fans through exclusive content and opportunities ;such as conversations with CEO Bob Hurley, chances to win merchandise,and photo caption contests for bragging rights. Overall Hurley achieves it success without the usage of expensive marketing.But by positioning themselves as a trusted surf community leader.
